2025 BMW M3 Competition xDrive — question: Used truck versus new compact pickup

2025 BMW M3 Competition xDrive, about 151,000 miles. Same money buys an older full-size truck with capability I may never use or a newer compact truck with better fuel economy and warranty. Anyone make this switch and regret the smaller truck? If I fix it I'll come back and update the thread.

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. Call your insurer in Upstate New York before you fall in love with the 2025 BMW M3. If they balk, that's your answer. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

I'd push back a little: If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2025 BMW M3 price probably got worse. Then the comparison gets honest. Did the worksheet show tax yet? If they only talk monthly I'm walking.

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. Ask for out-the-door on the 2025 BMW M3 with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. If they balk, that's your answer. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.

Asking because it changes the advice: In Upstate New York, insurance quotes flipped a 2025 BMW M3 comparison for me more than the sale price did. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. The universe charges extra for guessing. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Same neighborhood, different next step: Ask for out-the-door on the 2025 BMW M3 with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “question: used truck versus new compact pickup,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. That's my plan before I call anyone.
