Tune transformed the car, but what should I log?

EuroWrench18Community StarterJul 9, 20262021 Nissan Rogue SVTexas
2021 Nissan Rogue SV, about 1,200 miles. Running a conservative tune and the car feels great. I don't want to judge reliability by seat-of-the-pants though. Which parameters would you log periodically—fuel trims, knock, boost target, temperatures, something else? I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts.

I parked the 2021 Nissan Rogue and wrote down what I already tested so I'm not repeating myself. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Software recalls make me ask how much of 'driving' lives in a module now. On a 2021 Nissan Rogue, I'd care more about the remedy and downtime than the press wording. I'd do that before spending real money. This is from a 2021 Nissan Rogue in Texas with 1,200 miles. Have you gotten a second quote in writing? I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Quick add on that: On a 2021 Nissan Rogue, I'd care more about the remedy and downtime than the press wording. Then you'll know the next fork. On “tune transformed the car, but what should,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Did the worksheet show tax yet? If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. That's my plan before I call anyone.

New-model numbers always look better than curb weight and tire size. On a 2021 Nissan Rogue, I'd care more about the remedy and downtime than the press wording. Then you'll know the next fork. This is from a 2021 Nissan Rogue in Texas with 1,200 miles. Any freeze-frame data saved? I'd rather be boring and correct. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Software recalls make me ask how much of 'driving' lives in a module now. Check whether your 2021 Nissan Rogue VIN is actually in the affected batch before you plan a dealer day. I'd do that before spending real money. On “tune transformed the car, but what should,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Was this after sitting overnight? Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Yes, with one caveat: On a 2021 Nissan Rogue, I'd care more about the remedy and downtime than the press wording. I'd do that before spending real money. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

I'd wait for the actual TSB/recall population, not the headline. Check whether your 2021 Nissan Rogue VIN is actually in the affected batch before you plan a dealer day. I'd do that before spending real money. When does it actually happen? If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Useful. I'll report back after I verify that on my 2021 Nissan Rogue. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

I'd wait for the actual TSB/recall population, not the headline. If this is a 2027 reveal, I wouldn't map it onto today's 2021 Nissan Rogue ownership costs yet. Then you'll know the next fork. Stop there until you know. Make the next action something you can finish this week. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.
