Anyone else: Mustang track-day wheel size that clears big brakes

RoadHunter79Community StarterSep 9, 20252024 Ford Mustang GTNashville
I want a dedicated wheel/tire setup for HPDE and would prefer more sidewall than the street setup. What's the right way to confirm barrel/spoke clearance around the larger brakes rather than relying only on diameter? I'm in Nashville.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2024 Ford Mustang before a big repair or a big spend. I'd do that before spending real money. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. Your commute and mine probably aren't the same, but the test still applies. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Yes, with one caveat: On the 2024 Ford Mustang in Nashville, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. Then you'll know the next fork. On “mustang track-day wheel size that clears big,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2024 Ford Mustang in Nashville. That's the whole play. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

I parked the 2024 Ford Mustang and wrote down what I already tested so I'm not repeating myself. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2024 Ford Mustang owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. That's where I'd start. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2024 Ford Mustang, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. I'd do that before spending real money. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.
